An Elegant Sunday Evening in the Pioneer Valley
The clients were very specific in their vision. They wanted a simple, intimate, and personal affair where they could treat their closest friends and family to a gorgeous New England setting. The guests’ first introduction to the wedding was invitations that were printed by hand in calligraphy and adorned with hand-painted peach roses. The bride had her ivory silk gown, bolero jacket, and cathedral veil lined in ivory silk, made especially for her. Choosing the setting for the ceremony and reception was easy. It was in the heart of the Pioneer Valley at the base of the Berkshires, located in a small, white New England style chapel on an elite college campus where the couple first met. Their hour long ceremony was planned from multiple traditions and was filled with beautiful song, peach and ivory roses and lilies abound, and readings by friends and family. The couple rode to their reception, located atop the highest peak in Easthampton, in a classic vintage Bentley. The couple treated their guests to a room full of ivory and peach roses, a stately 5-course meal, and a variety of memories and pictures detailing a year of planning. The four tiered cake was modeled after the bride’s ivory dress, and contained accents of peach roses, peach and ivory rose petals, and was finished-off by votive candles and the simple ivory unity candle, the letter “N” spelled out in silver beads.
