There’s no Place Like Home
What do two up-and-coming professionals living in the upper east side of Manhattan do when they decided to marry? They throw a great party! The couple decided to hold their traditional Catholic Mass at the first Catholic Seminary founded in the United States of America, which houses grand stained glass windows, a beautifully decorated arched nave, and ornate status. The ceremony was truly a family affair! The Bride’s 3 sisters and 4 brothers had an integral part in the ceremony-her sisters as Bridesmaids and her brothers as program handlers and readers. As the newly married couple took pictures among the beautiful landscape, their 225 guests were transported in air-conditioned comfort to the Bride’s childhood home in a very quaint section of Baltimore, where they were greeted by beautiful white tents with rich white fabric sweeping overhead. They enjoyed upscale cocktails at tables draped in pink and white with centerpieces containing a classic mix of hydrangea and roses in pinks and celadon. As the Bride and Groom joined the cocktail hour to greet guests, the 7-piece band took over to mark the beginning of the reception. As the buffet opened, the guests were treated to an elegant display of Orzo salad, grilled tenderloin of beef, Delmarva breast of chicken with carmelized onions, the caterers signature hot corn pudding, and a classic display of grilled asparagus with olives. For the next 4 hours, the DJ and band played hand-in-hand…entertaining all. At 9:00 PM, the Bride threw her bouquet from her parent’s balcony to mark the official end of the celebration, but the Bride and Groom, family, friends, and neighbors stayed and danced wildly while the DJ played until Midnight.
