You know what I’m going to say, right?

This is your wedding – not some sort of small family event.  You might have spent months thinking about every little – single solitary detail.  Amateurs, friends and family is just not going to cut it.  You are going to look back on your pictures – trust me.  Red eye, bad angles, focus problems – will be noticed.  Why even risk it?

Wedding pictures are extremely important.  I have seen it first hand.  There is nothing worse than a Bride who is sad over poor quality work.  Weddings are one of those events that cannot be done over or replicated.  Bad quality photography work can easily be avoided.

I can’t think of a more direct way to say it.  Get a good quality photographer who will provide you with fantastic images.  Pay for the photographer’s time.  If you are prioritizing, I don’t think you necessarily need a huge professional album – get the time, the basic set of images or CD that they provide.

Pay for the photographer – you won’t regret it.  Photography, prioritize at the top.  Always.

With his package, there is no second guessing. He lays everything out. It’s easy (and you know how much I love simple). The one thing he does do – is to go above and beyond to customize the package for you. If you do not want an inclusion – he is flexible and will work with you to meet all of your needs. Thomas is an immense talent. When you look at his work – you feel the emotion. His love for weddings is apparent. His unique approach to weddings (first and foremost based on his extensive past experiences with the best journals in the country) make him my pick for “best of” 2009 in Photojournalism.

Documentary in style, she tells her couple’s stories through definite defined images – all of them crisp clean, meaningful and taken with purpose. Her use of lighting and the natural surroundings is superb.

I don’t think I have seen anyone work like Rachel. She has a unique gift. She is quick and she has wedding hands (you can tell that she knows and loves wedding). Each and every wedding presents it’s challenges, and she meets those challenges in extraordinaire ways. What to see an example? Take a look at her most recent blog post. I don’t think there are many people who would travel to a wedding, take “beyond belief” pictures – and be as positive as Rachel during a blizzard. You wouldn’t even know that she had to overcome insurmountable obstacles because each image is absolute perfection.

Amazing! I think that blog post says it all!

After the first of the year, I will share a set of amazing images that Rachel took. They are awe inspiring. Bravo!

It looks like roses have been very popular over the years.

White and black was the flavor for the evening. A simple nosegay of white roses with just a hint of pink makes for a beautiful Virginia evening. Look at the flower in her hair!

Gentle pink tones was the color scheme, but the pure white nosegay sets off her elegant, but simple look.

For a tall sophisticated bride, this is a very classic choice. This Bride had a Burgundy theme for their wedding.

Brides’ love hot pink. These casual Gerber Daisies really set off this more nice home wedding.

Simple white and greenery makes for a classic wedding.

Red, yellow and orange has been very popular this year for us! Here is a non-formed nosegay of red, yellow and orange. Bridesmaids carried button mums.
Hot pink roses with a collar of greens.

Stately blue hydrangea and ivory roses set off this very elegant wedding.
A yellow and blue colors scheme with jewels and swans. We put tiny jewels in this bouquet. If you had heirloom jewelry, that would be perfect in a bouquet like this.
This wedding was in Newport, RI. She wanted things colorful! This large nosegay was hot pink, orange and Green – roses abound. On her tables, we had different colored silk overlays. It was gorgeous!
This Bride loved pink, so we designed a simple rose nosegay of pink and ivory.
Her colors were celedon and blue. We used celedon orchids with hints of pink, and then used hot pink for her accent color. The Bridesmaids carried blue and celedon hydrangea.
Her colors were Ivory, cappuccino, and celedon. We used ivory with a hint of light green roses to make the bouquet pop.
Her colors were ivory and hunter. Since Ivory doesn’t “pop” from a white dress, we used peach to bring it out.

They met while at orchestra practice. He plays the violin and she plays the cello. When they decided to marry, they wanted to host this marvelous affair at one of the most picturesque venues in downtown Baltimore. Their short ceremony took place in the front gallery amongst stone columns and astute statues. As guests looked on, they heard just the faint whispers of a trickle from a fountain that served as the backdrop to the ceremony. While guests were upstairs enjoying cocktails among millions of dollars of Italian artwork, we were downstairs transforming the center gallery from ceremony to reception. The large burgundy centerpieces containing ginger swept the high ceilings, and the finishing touches on the lighting were made. Guests came down a grand-staircase to enjoy a lavish 5 course meal, while sharing in a slide show that was put together by the Bride and Groom’s good friend. Instead of a wedding cake being the center of the room, the Bride and Groom opted to do away with the traditional and bring in the pies, peach and apple to be exact, made by the renowned chef who catered the event. The pies were a hit; the guests flocked to them in awe! Dancing closed this truly elegant event.
